RATINGS AND ENDORSEMENTS
LOW-LEVEL RATING
Aircraft Types | Normally conducted in the Robinson R22, but can be completed in other aircraft as required. |

Pre-requisites | Must hold a valid Australian PPL licence or higher. |
Description | Covers low-level manoeuvring and emergencies including figure of 8s, S-Turns, Quick stops, 180° Quick stops, Low Level circuits, max performance take-offs, zero landings, recovery from low-G and vortex ring state and general handling close to the ground. It also includes low-level autorotations. |
Theory | Course includes long briefs. |
Flight Review | A Flight Review is required every year (12 months). |
GAS-TURBINE ENDORSEMENT
Aircraft Types | Subject to availability, Ansett Aviation can arrange training on turbines including: R66, B206 Jetranger, B206-L Longranger, AS350 Squirrel, EC130. |

Description | Classroom theory, in-house exams, plus practical training in normal and emergency procedures. |
Theory | Course includes long briefs and theory exam. |

MUSTERING ENDORSEMENT
Aircraft Types | Normally conducted in a Robinson R22 helicopter. |

Pre-requisites | Must hold a valid Australian PPL licence or higher with Low-level Rating. Must have completed 5 hours of low flying training prior to commencing the mustering training. Must also have a minimum of 100 hours of pilot in command time prior to commencing the training. |
Description | Prior to being able to muster cattle with a helicopter you must have completed a course in low flying and then a 10-hour course by an approved mustering pilot. We send you out with an approved working mustering pilot and over the course of 10 hours he will impart the skills required to muster cattle. |
Theory | Course includes long briefs. No theory exam required. |
SLING ENDORSEMENT
Aircraft Types | Can be conducted in any helicopter with an appropriate hook installed. |

Duration | 5 hours over 2 days. |
Pre-requisites | Must hold a valid Australian PPL licence or higher with Low-level Rating. |
Description | This is a basic course in flying with a sling load. The course starts with a short line of 30 feet and then we slowly build you up to use of a 100-foot long line. Accurate placement, emergencies and autorotations to the ground are all covered. Advanced long line courses can be arranged on request. |
